Default 64 Nova Wagon Rebuild

Having made a little (very little) money mining Etherium I decided to buy a project car. Well, after one too many one night I ended up buying a 1964 Nova... Wagon. Here are are a few pictures of what it looked like when I got it home. I plan on pulling off the whole front clip to replace it with IFS, installing a 4 link rear and, powering it with a LQ9 (6.0 ls) and 4l80e transmission. I have a long road ahead of me...

I wish that I had the time to do something like that. Oh wait, I'd need the skills too so I'm out.

Can't wait to see this progress.

My grandpa had one when I was a kid. He would take us up to the lake in it so we could go fishing. Unfortunately, grandpa's eyes got bad and he wrecked it.

It’s a 4 door cause that’s what they made...lol. The coupe and 2 door sw’s are incredibly expensive. I did make some progress tonight. I’ll post more I the morning.

That is gonna be one sweet ride. For a while I looked in vain for a 2 door coupe but quickly found out that anything worth fixing up is stupid expensive. I remember seeing some '64 Novas that were hot rodded out and man they were awesome! Good luck on your build. Keep us posted.

Growing up my friends older brother had one they had hot rodded out. That was a fun car and you could fit a ton of people in it to head to the beach.

Following this one

I have a 4l80E in mine and I would think its going to take some serious cutting on the tunnel to make it fit .. I have no idea what you are going to do to engine but if its a stock type cam / delete the 60 will be fine .. I make 900 and change currently ..

I have a gen IV 5.3 iron block with all parts I will let go cheap was going to turbo it in my truck but lost interest in truck all together .. I have done a bunch of swaps ..
You listed 4 link are you drag racing and plan on 8 second time slips ?/

A set of caltracs bolted on will do all you need for a mild build.. Not tying to correct you on the build please do not take it that way .

but some parts are cool and some cost a bunch and a 4 link is not going to add much to the build other than spending a ton of money .. I feel the down side of a 4 link of the street is not worth it .. I have had several and its not a super friendly ride and parts wear out often .. Its meant for the drag strip ..

Again all on what you plan to do with it ..

That Nova is a light weight will be a killer project for sure
