I read this post when there were zero replies and backed out like a crybaby because these kinds of posts make me really sad, but I always open them.

StrayDog is right except for the "maybe" part. Dogs are always better friends than humans, 100% of the time.

Mine is 14 and she still gets up to meet me tail wagging everyday when I walk in the door. Follows me everywhere I go and lays nearby me where ever I am. So sorry for your loss my friend.

dang man, got me tearing up in my truck. Prayers up for yall. Ive been through my share of pups but the one I have now may be the hardest one to let go when that time comes. She has been with me and my wife almost our whole relationship. I don't even remember us not having her in our lives
