Things to do in Bar Harbor Maine?

Drive up to Bangor and see Paul Bunyan, hike the Bangor Forest, and check out Stephen Kings house, go to the Casino, and eat mussels on the river

Definitely check out the Sunrise from on top of Cadillac Mtn. That was awesome. Lots of cool hiking trails in Acadia NP. Gorgeous scenery. Walk across the sandbar from Bar Harbor town to Bar Island at low tide. Pretty neat. Lots of good places to eat, lots of nice B&B's. We stayed at one in Southwest Harbor, the "quiet side" of the island.

Stayed in Booth Bay Harbor one year, great place. Take the long foot bridge across to the restaurant to eat!

Yea that's a cool place when the tide rolls out. When we were there one of the ships from pirates of the Caribbean was docked for maintenance. That was really cool to see all the rigging and sails.

Going up on vacation and wondering whats in the area to do?

How was your trip?

I’m heading here in August and will be going white water rafting in the Kennebec River. Looking for other cool stuff to do while we are there. I will have my daughters with me. They are 6 and 12.

Stay at the old hotel on the Marina and get a room with a personal hot tub on the outside deck and watch the boats go in and out, Lovely! Can’t remember name of hotel

Easy to drive to most place. Wiscasset for Lobster Rolls, "Reds". Lunch or dinner in Bar Harbor. Might go to Booth Bay, nice town and good sea food.To many places to see and do. We have been there about a dozen times, and will be back.
Bring a good camera and some walking shoes. We Fly to Banger for a day go Wiscasset, the back up the coast on Hwy 1, staying at little towns along the way to Bar Harbor. Then fly out of Banger.

Heading up there in October to see our daughter in Bangor. Lots to do there from great food, good brews and wonderful scenery. Go out on the bar when the tide goes out at Bar Harbor. Drive over to Belfast and enjoy some great beer at one of the outdoor pubs by the water. There’s a great bagel place in downtown Bangor that serves a mean breakfast.
