Bastrop state park cabins are pretty cool, think there is a fairly long waiting list to reserve one though... The power plant lake is great for winter fishing.

Haven't been there in 2 years. Drove by it last year. Still charred but getting some green foliage

I had to do a water survival course and swift water rescue training in the lake...at least it's warm water.

Other than that and standing in formation down wind of the chicken rendering plant next to Camp Swift....I got nothin...

Good fishing at Lake Bastrop. Downtown has been coming along, worth the walk and a meal. Roadhouse out east on 21 has good burgers.
