Looking for around about time to leave 3 lbs jerky in dehydrator. Normally use smoker but got in late from work

Depends on thickness of pieces. I just check meat periodically and pull them as they get right.

I like to do mine for 7 hrs. Texture of thin store bought jerky. To me it’s perfect. Try 5-6 and keep checking every hour for the consistency that you want.

My dehydrator takes around 7hrs as well. I'll check them at 6hrs and then leave the bigger pieces a little longer.

3lbs?? You doing a little snack? I made 15lbs the week before last and 13 last week. Usually leave mine in for about 5-6hrs just depending on texture

I check at 6 hours on 5-10 lbs and its usually done how I like it at 8ish. My dehydrator has temp control though and that at 140-150..
Really depends on thickness.....
