There are several options but a submersible pump would be better in my opinion. Mainly because it will draw less amps and have more lift height. Pump is going to be more expensive but running it will be cheaper. Look at something like https://www.altestore.com/store/
and look at solar pumps. They have both submersible and surface pumps.
Those AltE pumps start at $600
I'm going to have to pass
But your technical info was spot on
      No sister for you
      But still thanks

You are going to spend way more than $600 on solar system to run the pump you have listed. Did you look at the surface pumps? They are cheaper but don't have a lot of lift but might be fine.

But why would I go through all that when i have a perfectly good shallow well with 450 gallons of water already sitting in it
I simply need a pump to retrieve it because I'm tired of dropping a5 gallon bucket down there

Watering trees, garden and maybe livestock

All the way to top of silt at bottom of well
About 18 inches of silt down there

This is to top of water
Should be a little higher today with all that rain this weekend

            I don't need much lift
Might just use the briefcase inverter method
Few hundred bucks and I'm set

I just landed three of these

I guess I'll go find a pump that fits them
