Default Boy Scouts will allow girls to join

Isn't that what the Girl Scouts is for ? What da frick ?

What happens if a 15 yr old boy wants to join the GS ?

Stopped caring and stopped supporting when they stopped being relevant and started folding under the pressure of every little 'equality' groups...

Yeah, might have kept the Boy Scout leaders from playing pickle tickle with little boys in their sleeping bags....

BSA has given way to the BS of America a long time ago

Sure they will. This is all part of the New World Order. And they'll have to dig 3 latrines at all camp outs. His, Hers and Transgenders. Then each and everyone can decide if they're feeling masculine, feminine or "just screwed up" that day when they want to potty.

I have been a supporting member of the Scouts fraternity since 1978. I have been a Scout Master and have put together several camping trips and have been to many Jamborees. I am disgusted by PC America. There is an agenda right now to destroy us from within. Smart people, patriots, see it easily. Liberals support the agenda blindly. When the Alpha male is gone, so is America. I will lobby against the Boy Scouts. Hell, I might even start a new organization strictly for boys. That sounds like a good plan. Anybody want to assist with the charter?

Don't forget the $. I was a cub master couple of years ago. my scouts out numbered my den leaders around 10 to 1. Asked for help and the only thing I got was area recruiters pushing membership drives. Each boy/girl = $ to them and that's what its about.

As a boy scout we would have been all for a co-ed campout. Parents would have objected though. Some people need to be told "no, but you can join the girl scouts". And any judge that rules otherwise should be removed from the bench.

Ours were basically co-ed.... It was just all the other boys moms that had to come to every camping trip

As a cub master, scout master and den leader you are dead on the money.

And they will throw you under the bus in a second.

I am a scout leader also. At our sign up earlier this year I was approached by a parent wanting to get her daughter in out pack. I told her that was not possible and later talked to a council 10 admin about it. I was told it was well in the works for the organization to be CO-ED. After hearing that, this is my son's and my last year in the organization.

They already accept them in BSA Venturing. We had a couple of girls in our Explorer post in the 70's.

While it's not new to BSA to include females, I don't think leadership of a troop like the one my son was in is prepared for this. Our scoutmaster was specific about no female adults on campouts or summer camp. We saw what happened with troops that had men and women leaders at summer camp and it caused all sort of problems. Compound that with little girls, and I wouldn't want to be in leadership of a troop.

Just my .02 as someone who grew up in the scouting program and was an Asst Scoutmaster for a large Boy Scout troop.

Probably like they did when they accepted gay teens, but it doesn't stop groups from suing those troops.

The Boy Scouts are NOT what they use to be and exactly why my son is NOT a Boy Scout.. Got him in the Boys/Young Men group at our Church.

Boy Scouts LOST my support when they started being POLITICALLY CORRECT and changed...

Troops who are chartered under faith based organizations have the right to not accept members who are of the GLBT life choice. Or however it is defined. This is in the still protected right of Christian religious beliefs.

However as younger scouts, cubs, the girls will meet separately. This will allow families to have outings together without separating and or having to make choices of whom and when meetings and outings are attended.

I doubt any man on this forum would openly say that his son deserves the opportunity to hunt and fish but his daughter does not.

BSA recognizes that girl scouts does not offer the opportunities offered to the BSA members and that not allowing the females to enjoy the experience, training and leadership development offered to the young men is depriving half of our community what the other half has openly available.

There is uncertainty if the same Charter rights will be implemented under this new policy. An organization built for Boys is a a lot different than taking your daughter hunting.

The Dens would be gender specific, the pack would be coed. Still a mix.

So girls can't be trained in leadership, community involvement, outdoor skill, survival, cooking, camping, hiking, swimming, horseback riding, shooting, archery . . . etc? What is the problem with the young ladies being treated as equals?

Or is this a matter of "separate but equal" for gender instead of race?

I'm a pre-2015 Eagle Scout and **** proud of it. The BSA has gone from the Boy Scouts of American to caving to the political "Bull S*** of America." I'm sick and tired of this crap.

My son WILL NOT be a part of this BS organization.

There are Boy Scouts and there are Girl Scouts. If you are not happy with the way the Girl Scouts are going, then improve them. There is no reason to incorporate females into the Boy Scouts other than to destroy it's integrity. It's a **** agenda.

I agree it's an agenda. But it's an agenda to provide to the whole community what only half enjoy now.
