They conveniently didn't mention the part about how they still had the top broadcast that night. They're still the big show, and will continue to be, they're mainly just losing viewers to streaming like everyone else is. There are some people who simply aren't interested, and that number will probably continue to slowly grow. But they still draw more eyeballs than anything else on tv and it's not even that close.

Do they count the number of TV's that are on? Radio's? Streaming?
It was a very good game actually.

I figure they could track satellite radio, streaming is easy as you have to log in to a computer or device so that is easily tracked as well. Im not sure how FM or AM radio is tracked for usage. There must be some way.

I always wondered how they did tv ratings on public TC like NBC, fox, cbs. I mean if I'm watching something how do they know I am and not just surfing ?

We played golf Sunday @ Wood Forest GC south of Conroe stopped @ Hooters on 45 packed couldn't find a parking spot. We went to Twin Peaks down the road & was able to get in but pretty full.

I don't watch NFL but they have owned Sunday & the only sport that runs all day on some channel, doubt that sports bars will be affected

Your hypothesis is sound but the experiment lacks a control condition. We cant say its just the football when there is something much more intriguing going on

Looks like more and more people are streaming football....and this nothing to do with the kneeling. Enjoying watching the NFL crumble.

Actually not watching the NFL is pretty liberating. I didn't watch any again this weekend and it felt good. Kind of like when I finally kicked tobacco.

NFL has sucked for years. Nothing new here.

On another note, Texans sell out every game and while the Astros are now in the ALCS, still the radio talk is all the Texans. Sad.

I go fishing every day after work with my son from 6pm-7pm. We have been slaughtering the Tilapia on earthworms

I am heading to Nacgdoches this weekend to hunt

Am I coming on to strong with regards to the NFL boycott?

I have watched the Texans since no one has taken the knee but that is it. For me it is more disinterest in the whole pro football thing. I only got back on board with them the past three years or so after many years of disinterest which started when the Oilers left. All this just reinforces my disinterest from before. I miss watching Jon Gruden I will admit but not enough to watch. It really all got pretty boring to me.

Nice. ESPN and other coverage have been injecting politics into sports and taking themselves way too seriously for a long time now. Shut up and entertain me or get off the screen. I'm glad to see some consequences finally hitting them.

NFL has all but admitted it isn't a 100% fair contest anyways. It gets more like WWE wrastiln daily.

Do you have to work at saying things like this or does it come naturally? I don't want to be insensitive if it is involuntary.

Never played football before. I don't pick many battles but when I do I have good reasons. This decision for me was based on family, sentimentals, principles and pride.

I played all through school, and my son plays now in high school. We have no interest in supporting the NFL. I hope they crash and burn. Iíll stick to college football instead, unless they start being disrespectful.
