It would be said one time and one time only. "I don't care who did it cause **** happens but what I do care about is the fact that it is cleaned up and cleaned up properly and right now. If you enjoy coming here then act like it. I'm going to go outside for a bit and when I come back in I hope everything is in good working order".

I would have a talk with my Dad about it and let him handle it.

He's the owner, he controls the property so ask him to make the SOB, I mean the SIL clean it up.

I am in your corner here. the clogger is responsible. also, being the son-in-law in a ranch owning family of my own, it is my personal belief that I shouldn't even ask to hunt or fish until I have done several good weekends of work on the ranches with livestock or other wise. Also, yall may want to adopt the phrase "leave it better than when you got here"

Cehorn,

Families & sibling marriages can really just make life extremely difficult. I know only too well. Your Dad is stuck with seeing and dealing with SIL if he wants to continue to see the grand kids and your sister. We are all sorry for your troubles and obviously all see it the same way you do. Hang in there! This too will pass and it certainly is not worth ruining a relationship over. He is just full of S%$#!

Man, I know what you want to hear, but the simple fact is you should have cleaned up that crap before you left. I get you were trying to prove a point but human feces is not the medium in which to prove that point.

There are any number of ways you can retaliate against your brother-in-law. I can guarantee you this, it would be the last time he did something like that if I had to clean it up.

But, my dad never holds my brother in law accountable for his actions or lack of actions. It has been ongoing since he bought the place 18 years ago.

Well, there is only one correct solution. Your sorry brother-in-law needs his arse whupped!

If this is a true story them someone even you should have cleaned it up before you left. SIL should be responsible and should have taken care of it when it clogged but it should not have been left. If I were grandpa there would be a new outhouse for visitors to use. If the way you have laid it out is true I might be tempted to have a porta potty delivered and place the SIL's name on it for the coming weekend.

Default Crappy Situation - Opinions Needed

Your brother in law is a worthless piece of trash. If you are a 300lb man and blame a clogged dumper on a kid and don't fix it....you are just a large child.

But someone in that house should have acted like the bigger person and fixed the problem.

I'll be ****ed if he'd step foot back on that ranch if it wasn't him that cleaned it up.

Even if he did clean it up it would be a long while before he stepped foot on the ranch

Knowing me, not being able to stand a mess, I would probably clean it up and, if my property, they would be banned for this year. We never have that problem at our ranch. Everyone pitches in to help with a problem. I promise you if mine are Kent's son-in-laws and son's didn't help we would both be ******.

Didn't read all the posts so forgive me if this is a triplicate.

Sounds like there was a no one there over the age of 12.
You're all to blame.

That being said, if it was my dads place I know the next time anyone showed up there would be a new lock on the gate for the whole **** bunch.

I would clean it up if nobody else would, but it would be forever off limits to sil who clogged it. I wouldnít really blame the kid, because in modern times they have probably never encountered this situation and didnít know what to do. It was 100% the fault of the person who clogged it then left it. That person is responsible for cleaning it up.
Agreed!

I should have been the bigger person Sunday. But, after the way the weekend went it wasn't in the cards. We didn't find my girlfriend's deer Saturday and the tower we were putting up collapsed ruining the stand. At least nobody was hurt but still frustrating. Then we worked way later than planned Sunday (after SIL left) making what was left of the stand huntable to give my dad another place to hunt. I was planning on being on the road home around 11 and it was 2 before leaving without cleaning the bathroom. It would also be a different story if this was a one time deal but the lack of helping, leaving early and general attitude has gone on for A LONG time. I know these are all excuses and maybe not good ones but it will be cleaned up before dad goes down there again after Thanksgiving.
