Do yíall use your deer rifles or something different? Trying to decide on using my sons tc contender, daughters 22-250, or my cva 7-08.

Out of those I'd use the 22-250 just because you'll have quicker follow up shots. I'll take more bullets over power when dealing with those things.

I use my bow or my M70 in .22-250. Shoot them at a feeder with lights---bow range or from my truck about 100 yds away with the rifle.

Both my hog spots are off limits to me during deer season due to the landowner or grazer hunting deer, so no problem for me.

I usually chase pigs with my .270 bolt or .223 AR15. I'm hoping to start sticking them with arrows soon

It's a whole different experience. I've had hogs within 20 yards while gun hunting. Hunted a few times a couple months ago at night and it's definitely an adrenaline rush.

Ummmmm. Ok. This is false. You can hunt pigs year round. No closed season. No bag limit. Day or night.

I was told this a few weeks ago that during deer season you couldn't hunt hogs under a hog light. I just looked at tpwd site but Can't find anything that says you can't. Been wrong before but that was a long time ago.

I use my all purpose AR15 in 5.56. It's killed bobcats, deer, hogs and more.

I have a Wildlife Innovations light fixed to the barrel. The 1-4x Viper PST is handy at night.

I like to use my bow, but if I hear hogs during the week around the house, I grab my 30-30 with iron sights and a really good flashlight - a Streamlight.

You were told some incorrect information. It's legal to hunt hogs with or without a light 24-7 365 days a year as long as you have a hunting license

Who told you, I hope it wasn't a Game Warden. Another misconception is you can't hunt deer while you have a light mounted to your gun or bow. This is also not true. You just can't use the light when deer hunting but you can have it mounted to your weapon. Now with that said, if you are dealing with a dead deer after dark and you have a light mounted on your weapon and a game warden shows up, you better be prepared for a lot of hard questioning.

My bow light stays on my bow all year and I've talked to a few game wardens about this and they all basically said the same thing, yes it's legal to have a bow light on my bow while deer hunting but be prepared for a lot of questions if it's after dark and you have a deer down or injured.

I am referring to the person who he got the info from. Not this man himself.

Anyone who spreads such blatantly obvious false info is a rookie in my eyes

Does anyone screw a light into their stabilizer on their bow to shine the hogs? If so what do you all use?
