I am going to be sighting in a new 6.5 Creedmoor and 7mm08. Any recommendation for how to sight them in? Should it be at zero at 100 yards? 200 yards? 1' high at 100 yards?

I like to go 1" high at 100. What 6.5 did you get? Been in the market for one.

I sight in DOA at 100 and use my turrets or mils for adjustment or hold over.

25/200 is the most flat you can get in most cases.

I'd look at the bullet drop to see what would work best for how far you will be shooting. I sighted my 30-06 in for 200yds before gong to the Laguna last year. Just in case I need to shoot out to 300yds or so.

Really depends on the range you will be shooting. Zero'ed at 200 and you'll be good to 250 or so without thinking about it. If your shots will be closer or you might be taking some neck or earhole shots, I'd zero at 100 or so and holdover for longer shots.

It is a vortex diamond 4-12x40
Max distance is 300 yards but most shots will be 50-150. |
