Tip: Once you have your heaters are going aim a fan up towards the ceiling. All your heat will rise and this will circulate the heat from the ceiling evenly through out the barn with out having cold spots.
Great alternatives here. We heat a 60x80 with a salamader before folks get there and like others have said you can turn it off once they arrive. A couple electric heaters will keep it warm so long as you don't open up all the doors.
