I’m too chicken to lance it. I squeezed hard on it and nothing came out. Poured peroxide in it and plugged it was Vaseline. Dog continues to act normal

Go to tractor supply or feed mill and get some drawing salve. Smear it on the wound and it will come out. Some folks call it bag balm.

That looks more like a ruptured abcess and not a cuterebra. If your dog will let you inspect it, open the hole a little bit with a pair of forceps or tweezers and look inside. If there is a cuterebra larvae you will see it squirming around inside. Usually the "blowhole" is smaller than the diameter of the larvae and not so ragged looking as your dogs. If there is no larvae I would flush the wound out with a dilute chlorhexadine solution (by the band aids at Walmart or Walgreens) and put a little bacitracin in it daily until it heals. If it starts to look worse or doesn't start to heal, then have your Vet look at it.
