nice to see there are some kind of "stands" there now- Got drawn in 1998 and all they had were crappy tripods. Killed a 140" ten pt first day out of stand 14. Out of the 24 hunters that year, all killed a buck of some type!

Caught a glimpse of a possible shooter crossing the dunes. He was in the high grass before I knew it.

There are some nice bucks on the island that's for sure. I see them all the time when fishing over there.

Hogs, rattlesnakes, coyotes, bobcats and coons that will chew the latches off of your cooler while you sleep lol.

Skeeters are non excitant in this cold wind.

Seen one doe so far at 700 yards in the tall grass, waaaay too much cross wind for me to entertain that shot. She's in the 4 o'clock position of the picture.

I hunted here a few years ago. We were hunting on the north or east side of the island. My buddy shot a decent buck, but most of the bucks killed were on the south or west end. I didn't kill anything, but it was definitely an awesome experience.
