Gonna get crazy stupid packed during bow season this year with no permits required. I am going to wait for the gun draw and hunt then. I suggest week day hunts.

Is it unlimited this year? Last year I was told it was first come first serve on the archery permits but they never filled that quota, lady @ the office said they had bow season permits left over last year.

Unlimited for "bow season only". After that, you must have a permit during the general season. It's just like Whitney used to be pre 2000.

After October it is Draw Permits only allowed. You would not think it would increase the #'s but I bet it does.

Lady @ the office last year said there were a limited # of archery permits, so guess that changed this year.

How is that any different than it was last year?

It Will Probably MakeThe Hunting Harder If Their Is A Lot Of People. But For Some Reason In The Pit Of My Stomach I Feel Like Im Going Walk Up On Someone Hunting My Corn. Yeah I Know Its Public Land But If You Put In All The Work Of Finding A Good Spot And Start Baiting It...It Sure Would Be Hard To Smile And Walk Away..

It is the same as last year after October.

Free land to hunt is always going to have people on it. What do hunters expect to happen? I just have to be consistent in going and have more than one spot to hunt. I just think of it as a bunch of bass fisherman trying to fight for the best spot. Just find another area and keep fishing!! Everyone is out to do good for the most part. Shrug off the difficult people and don't let it ruin your season!

Made A Mistake!! I Have Been Watching A Area For A Week Or So And Got Curious. I Set Out A Camera Yesterday Around Lunch And Went Back Today To Find Nothing..I Know Public Land But I Have Found A Hang On And Walk A Little Further Out Of My Way So I Dont Ruin The Guys Setup. I Have Also Seen A Pop-Up Blind That I Stay Away From... Yes Its Public Land But That Dont Mean Take What Aint Yours..

If you're brave enough you can run up to the corp office to see if they confiscated it. I spoke with one of the guys up there on the phone and he said that any cameras or stands that they find will be removed at their own will. I understand that you have to pack in, pack out, and cannot use bicycles to make any of it easier.

Yeah When I Talked One Of The Rangers He Said Dont Leave Anything. But Curiosity Got The Best Of Me. But You Would Think It Could Last More Than 24Hrs!! Before A Ranger Found It Or Another Hunter Mistakenly Thought It Was His..
