    The Super-wrap!

This is a DIY guide to holiday gift wrapping.
It works for any gift, but the cheaper, the better the effect!
This is my Secret Santa gift for one of our accountants.
He has a very dry sense of humor, likes golf and Kit-Kats.
He's getting a golf ball coffee cup and some snack sized Kit-Kats.

First you'll need a couple hundred rubber bands to secure the two items.
Alternate wrapping them in different directions to ensure stability.Click image for larger version

    Keep wrapping, alternating directions.

Wrap until you've used at least 500 or so rubber bands.
It will take a little while, but if you alternate the directions of the bands, it'll take forever to take them off, unless they're cut.

When you're done with the rubber bands, wrap the present, as normal.

If there's any empty space, shredded paper works well to fill the gaps.
I suggest shredded paper only if this will be opened somewhere other than your house.
Be sure to pack it in tight, so there's no way to get the smaller box out without pulling the shredded paper out too.

Close that box, use packing tape to close it up, then some stout zip-ties to make sure it stays closed.

Now wrap this like a normal present. I like to use packing tape to make sure every edge of wrapping paper is covered.
That way there's no way it can get hung on anything ... including fingers!

Now put that box in a little bigger box, again filling any gaps with more shredded paper.

After you tape that box shut, use some heavy string to tie it shut.
I like to go around it twice, in each direction, wrapping it around a few times, tieing off and cutting the string between each wrap.
Again, this works best if you alternate directions.

Now wrap that box, making sure you cover all the seams with more packing tape.

Put that wrapped box in a little bigger box, and don't forget the shredded paper.

This time, we'll tape the whole thing shut with Duck tape.

I like to make individual wraps, cutting each time around, alternating directions, and making sure the end cuts are clean and all the tape is pretty smooth so there's not much to grab on to! Once I get the whole thing covered, I like to go around it a few times diagonally, just for a little extra insurance!

Put it in a little bigger box. This one was a tight fit, so I couldn't fit much shredded paper.

I had to use more Duck tape to hold this box shut. It was a bit too small.

I just want to say that I have applied duct tape to somewhere north of 757, 364 different items...for different reasons...some legal...a lot not....some moral....some otherwise......

And I have NEVER.......seen cleaner duct tape work than I just did in that picture!

              WELL...PLAYED.......SIR!

Funny, I do something very similar every year to one gift for my wife. She dreads it but inside I can tell she's giggling a little. Plus, the gift is usually several DVD's of corny horror movies that she hates with the receipt so she can return them and get whatever chick flicks she wants to see.

you should have glued the zip ties (100%) to the box also...
