    Looking for oil field job

I think I have reached the ceiling at my current job and I am now checking out something in the oil field. I do not have any experience but I am willing to travel and learn. If anyone has any leads that would be helpful I would appreciate it.

Any idea what you wanna get involved with? Drilling? Production? Fracking? Casing crew?

Right now I do not have a preference, I am open for anything as long as pay is right.

You OK with moving to Dilley or Carrizo Springs?

If you got a way to get an interview with a production foreman I'd jump on that.

I am not in a position to move, but I can be away for a couple of weeks at a time with no problem.

                    Apply at Halliburtonjobs.com
They're hiring off & on out of Kilgore and the biggest yard in the world just opened in San Antonio.
Be prepared to travel though, we're in carrizo springs 2wks at a time right now....
But this is the oilfield- things change daily !
We could be sitting on the yard for a month next week!
But Halliburton pays 40hrs per week even if you're not working !!

Whatever you do get with a company that has been around for a while. There are alot of mom and pop service companies coming out of the wood works. Some will make it and some won't. Also if you are used to a set schedule from day to day, week to week...the oilfield isn't for you. I had a hard time changing but it is just part of it.

My son drives a truck and is able to work any number of hours he wants from 40 to 90 hours a week. It is hot and dirty work but you can earn a good living at it.
