Yep. AZ really needs to elect some better Senators one of these days. Flake is appropriately named. Like McCain before him, he's more committed to the establishment and his own power and position than he is to conservative principles.

Well, it looks like it's up to 3 senators, all Rep. The one dem from N.D. is a no. Hope she gets "FIRED" in Nov!!!

There are 3 Republicans, if you can call them that, that could and very well might turn against BK and if so, he is done. Flake has said he will vote no and with Collins and Murkowski saying that was the President said in that rally was very wrong, all three may vote against confirming him.

Don’t believe Flake actually said no to BK. Recent reports are Flake and Collins approve of the findings by the FBI that show nothing further.

Flake is still a major flake. I won't count his vote until it's cast. Same goes for Collins and Murkowski.

If they got 50 Dem Senators in November (they don't need 60), then he probably wouldn't get a SC nominee seated for the next 2 years. Barring some other craziness on his part, he'd be able to kill them with that in the 2020 election and would likely get re-elected easily. Then, if the GOP also retook the Senate, he'd get a nominee or 3 approved.

Unless he decided to flip and start working with them, the way he almost did early in 2017. He could nominate somebody the Dems would vote for. Neither scenario would surprise me.

I don't think there's any way the Dems get 50 Senators next month though.

Anyone who thinks they would go along with anything he did is day dreaming. He could appoint Obama and they would fight it. Kavenaugh is not some conservative activist. He could have just as easily been nominated by Obama. Look what they are doing to him.
