I actually saw a bobwhite yesterday. I think it's been 5 or 6 years since I've even heard one.

i really miss them. i almost never hear them call any more, at our place or the lease, though i see a covey about once a year if i hunt one particular stand. they are resiliant if conditions are right. but tough, they are not.

Man, that's a rare thing these days. When I bought my place in Cisco 8 years ago had about 3 coveys. Have not seen or heard a bird in 5 years. Very depressing.

We've got em at our lease in San Angelo,but the last covey I saw near the metromess was about 16-17 years ago.
