    Price/Acre for shredding

Recently picked up a used tractor to use around the place and thought I might try and do some shredding on the side to help pay it off. Anybody have an idea what these services usually go for? I'm sure it varies by region but I was just trying to get an idea before I started to advertise around the area-thanks

You said shredding so you obviously arent from East Texas where they call it "Bushogging"!
In the Hill Country I charge:
40 per hour for my 5 foot rotary mower
50 per hour for my 6 foot flail mower
60 per hour for my 7 foot rotary mower.

This is for field mowing. If it is pasture mowing with lots of small mesquites I have to mow over I use my 5 footer and charge 60 per hour due to more wear and tear.

I can get around 2 acres per hour usually depending on conditions.

thanks for the responses. I used to get $75-100 to mow an acre lot when I was doing lawns. Figured it would be similar since you have more money in equipment. Good thing I asked before I began to put the word out. Just would be with my smaller tractor and 6' brushog
