Default Poisonous Frogs/Toads In Central Texas?

Last night, my dog found a toad and the yard and was playing with it. She come in afterwards foaming at the mouth, locked up like she was having muscle spasms, and could barely breathe. I have only lived in Central Texas for about 3 1/2 years so Im not familiar with all the differences in wildlife from where im origionally from. (Northeast Texas). Anyone have any idea what kind of toad this could have been?

any toad can make them sick. They all have a toxin that discourages them being eaten. Too much can kill a pup.

he probably found a Texas Toad.......

but tell your dog to be careful - the Houston Toad is in your area and is endangered.
