Mercury Force outboards??

Force had a terrible rep back in the day, especially for having cheap components and being unreliable.

I mean, if the price is right, perhaps it's an ok deal. Regardless of brand motor, I'd probably be looking to repower from an 18 year old motor at some point anyway.

One of the worst boat/motor combinations ever was a Bayliner with a good ol force outboard. Price was a major selling point on those rigs.

They are awesome UNTIL they mess up then, throw it away and buy a Yamaha. Been there, done that and have the receipts and outboard to prove it 🤣

I ran an 75 Hp without problems but agreed that they are low quality. I had read that they used old low quality parts from Mercury to build them and that you can only get quicksilver replacement parts for them now.

Good for about half of the advertised horsepower, when they're running that is. That's been my experience with them, hopefully its a good runner if you decide to go with it. Best of Luck.
