The very reason MY refrigerator and MY microwave are inside my locked office. It's way better than having to deal with a thief. I've fired some folks that work for me for that very thing....stealing from the "public" refrigerator

Have someone drinking my tea so I filled it up with salt. Not sure who it was but my tea is not disappearing anymore

Years ago Jim Rome had a great story about putting chocolate icing on old bean dip and passing it off as brownies for the office fridge thief.

I like the ghost pepper idea. Canít wait for the report!

I live in a fire station a 1/3 of my life... I’m pretty used to bird dogging. I’ve grabbed a bite or two of others food a time or two. In the fire service, if there is a food available it’s gone..you could leave $100 bill on the table and it’d sit there until you picked it back up.

Won't be long until you know exactly who the thief is

Think he/she should be fired when identified too

I am all about pranks and fun but food is off limits.

Funniest thing ive ever seen. We worked out of a big trailer with a mini fridge. Night shift guy kept dipping day shift guys snuff so day shift got a pair of scissors and did some "manscaping" down below and mixed the clippings in the snuff. I about puked when he took him a big ole lip full.

We have both issues! We've had food stolen and you can't fit your lunch in because people leave stuff forever! They used to clean them out once a month, but people get so bent out of shape over their stuff being thrown away, those in charge decided they would just let it build up until everyone is ticked! I toss at least an item a week when I see rotten food, or left overs that have been in there more then a week.

Good luck on catching your thief! I would be terrified to get anyone else's stuff out of ours.

We have the same problem out here.
On another note, we had a guy (known for eating others food) put "I spit in this" on his ketchup bottle one day. Underneath that, I wrote "so did I". He threw the ketchup away, and threw a week long fit about it. I found it pretty comical.

Word. Everything is pretty safe except food. If you want it you better eat it, hide it or lock it up.

You'll get more heat transfer if you puree the pepper into a sauce, like ketchup or mayo, and spread it all around the outer part of the burger. Put it UNDER the meat where the patty won't protect the tongue from direct contact. You're only likely to get one bite, and you want max pain from it.

It sure is annoying being busy without having time to go out for lunch and going to the fridge only to find your food is gone. I started taking things like tuna packets, crackers, etc., that didn't need refrigerated that I keep in a desk drawer because of thieves. I also bought a small lunch cooler I sometimes carry in and out and keep it at my desk. I would never think of taking something from the fridge that wasn't mine, but apparently there are a lot of folks with no qualms about stealing food or drinks.

Years ago my boss kept having his lunch disappear. He made a alfredo chicken fettuccine with a large dose of laxative in it. The next afternoon we all saw who kept making trips to the bathroom. So my boss went in to the bathroom in between the thiefís visits and removed all of the toilet paper. The thief quit shortly after.

A good trick is to put a piece of dried dog poop on a sandwich, take a photograph, remove the poop and place sandwich in the common refrigerator. Also make sure mark the sandwich so others will know it's not public food.

When the sandwich disappears, put the picture of the sandwich with the poop on the refrigerator door.

Had a guy robing me at work, would eat anything. I bought a huge burrito from 7-11, let is ride in the back of my truck during the summer for a couple days, until it got good and rank and the package ballooned up. Wrote my name on burrito and stuck it in fridge, last time I was robbed!
