I’ve spent a lot of time on PD rigs. If I was working for a contractor I wouldn’t have any issues working for them.

I worked for PD for 4.5 years as Rig and Directional Salesman, until I recently quit those idiot, operationally incompetent Canadians. Good Luck......

They seemed pretty good until during the slow down I started seeing them replace boys from the valley with Canadians. They weren’t an upgrade

Precision Drilling or Precision Directional? -- two different companies -- I work with both of them

Was thinking about making the same jump myself. The deep water slump is extremely brutal and by far the longest one I have ever endured. Been pretty lucky so far in my career in not getting layed off in 20 yrs but I feel the end is near. With land picking up and typically just starting, I feel a may be able to get a few more there, maybe move up to consulting in a couple years.

Went to Ensco and interviewed for a Derrickhand position and they gave me a offer and Precision gave me a offer as well... well precision is offering more than Ensco... That just shows how down Deep Water is. Plus being on land on that 14/14 instead of being out in the middle of the ocean on a 21/21 is going to be nice.
