Tell me about the 17wsm

Any 17wsm owners out there, would like input before I purchase

Don't own a 17wsm, but do own a 17hmr. I personally never saw the need...plus like the more available ammo of the hmr.

Why are you wanting one? What purpose will it serve?

My buddy has one. I've probably killed more stuff with it than he has. It's a good varmint gun. Killed a lot of prairie dogs and jackrabbits with it. Shot a grey fox,coyote,armadillo and a beaver with it too and he shot a turkey with it last Fall. Maybe he killed a badger last Winter I can't remember. Anyway.....I've killed all sorts of stuff with the .22mag and .17hmr both. The wsm has a noticeable amount of power over both.

skip the WSM and buy a 17 Hornady Hornet , thank me later

the 17HH is a CF which you can reload up or down , and is more accurate than the WSM
