Default Otterbox joins the high $ cooler competition

I saw one of these in Best Buy before Christmas and I was impressed with the quality. They have the best latch system I've seen yet. List price for a 25q was $250.

https://www.otterbox.com/en-us/venture-coolers.html

Anyone have real usage experience with these?

Wicked. After looking @ the website, I learned that Otterbox also owns LifeProof. Didnt know that.

Those are some heavy duty coolers. Interested if anyone has experience with them as well.

Don't like the hard latches. They break. I like the soft stretchy ones like I have on my Icehole cooler. Same ones on the Bradley fighting vehicle.
Folks will pay BIG for a cooler that delivers.

I like the Pelican and the Engel latch also. The otterbox latch is more compact.

Looks better to me. More streamlined and less likely to snag

not a fan of the big handles... space always seems to be tight in the bed and like the handles to be able to fold in or flop down with the rope handle out of way

True. I'm wondering if Magpul would likely be the next entrant.

My Ozark Trail is the bomb.com for half that $, but that is a cool-looking cooler

I don’t like the handles that stick way out. They take up too much room when space is tight.

Hope their coolers are better than their phone cases.
