Something else that made it a good day

Every night my family ( wife and kids and me ) have dinner at the table. And I give the blessing and thank the lord for all we have been blessed with. Well last year my now 6 y/o son started wanting to ad his own prayer after mine. I've always been proud of him for that. Typically it's kinda of a mumbo jumbo of stuff from protecting the army guys to helping his friends at school and asking for help learning to read better. Well tonight was the same deal but tonight one of the things he said nearly had me rolling on the floor, but I held it in.

He said thanks God for the cold weather, thanks for the good food, and WE FORGIVE YOU for all you do to us. Amber and I of course corrected him later but I could just see God spitting up a good mouth Full of wine when he heard that.

I sure have a lot to be thankful for

The Holy Spirit sorted that all out for him. My grandson gets a little carried away when he asks the blessing. We have been coaching him about meal blessings and other types of prayer. He can't help it. They attend a Baptist church. Us Lutherans can spot a Baptist prayer a mile away. LOL

Nope, God was smiling at that little one. I am positive it made him grin. His spirit is leading your son to him and it was said with a pure heart.

Good job dad in raising up a godly young man...
