Cheap knives, new scales

Put some new wood on cheap knives just to see what was entailed. Seemed to turn out decent, now if I can keep the wife from running them through the dishwasher.

Large knife is mesquite, smaller is some gifted walnut from Jermdog01.

Can you not put a fiberglass resin on the handles?

I could, but the wood is what I have. You can make some homemade scales using fabric/burlap and figerglass resin.

Very nice. What type of pins did you use?

The pins are 1/8 and 3/16 brass rod from Lowes. They were a pain, I'm going to look into some of the corby style pins available from the knife supply stores.
