A knife for a friend for Father's day.

A good friend of my wife's asked me to make her father a knife for Father's day. I normally only make them to give away and I never make them upon request, but I made an exception for her. Last summer she was with us on Lake Livingston when my boat sank and she almost drown, so I figured I owed her one.

    1095 steel

    Bodark handle

Still need to heat treat, polish and epoxy the scales on but it's looking good so far.

I made the sheath today but I think I'll change the scales out to a different wood.

                    Something like this.

I made a stand to hold my bricks at the proper hight for my propane torch to sit next to it as the heat sorce

No, never met him. Manvel isn't as small as it once was.

I decided to leave the Osage ones on there.

Great looking knife. I like the Osage scales. They will darken some with time.
