My 270 has never let me down. That is not to say that there are better options out there since this round is about 100 year old.

I'm a 270 fan -flat shooting is sexy
30-06 is just a work horse, it will get there when it gets there

Aint much difference in a 6.5 vs 270
        Or 308 and 30-06

I think that if I wanted a gun that big, I would probably choose the 06 over the 270.

Not weird, this is why a lot of calibers fail in the market.

Looking at getting a .270 or a .30-06, which would you go with and why?

**Let's see if my answers are 50/50 Mason**
30-06 to answer your question, because you can kill anything in NA with it. The 270 is to light for brown bear and border line on moose.

A better choice would be 300 wsm or 300 wm.

Yes, I was talking about the 30-06 having heavier options than the 270. But yes I prefer the 300 win mag cause of being able to shoot heavy 30 caliber bullets with better velocity than the 06, without much of an increase in recoil.
