    What a season

Well this season started off slow for me but ended with a bang! Started off by killing my target buck with my bow in October on my family property. After hunting for weeks with my bow trying to get a doe I ended up skunked multiple times. I built a 6.5 Grendel and that’s when deer started falling. I took a doe on the family property for my Grendel’s first deer. A few days later a nice tom then a big boar. My FIL was kind enough to take me to Karnes city where the Grendel knocked down a mature cull buck. Fast forward to this week in Tilden I killed another good sow, cull buck and mature doe all with the Grendel. I shot all my tags across three counties a first for me.

I’m sad deer season is over for me but I’m tiered of processing animals I’ve done 5 deer and 2 hogs this weekend and I’m still not done.

I’m very blessed to have killed all these animals this season my freezer is full to the gills. Now it’s time to start fishing!Click image for larger version

I love head shots if you have a good rifle and practice enough it can be the most ethical shot there is. No tracking needed.
