Default Astros Beer

The wife picked this "Astros beer" for me today at HEB......absolutely not the best beer I've had but it's the thought that counts

And it is Cold Beer...so it could be worse but I wont buy it again

Karbach makes some good beer. I haven't tried that one, but their beer is typically very good.

It’s good. For a bock. I can only have 1-2 of them at a time though. It’s good beer, I’m a fan, and there aren’t many if any beers that Karbach makes that I like

They tried with that goofy red brown yellow rainbow but like most things from Houston, they just couldn't figure it out.

It's not the syrup sweet like shiner bock, has more hops and a little bitterness to it. Most everything Karbach does has a heavier hop note that makes it more bitter. If you don't like that then you probably won't like a lot of what they do. But it's what's selling well right now.

If you call Americanized commercial beer companies real beer you are correct. I usually drink Belgian beers or stouts from micro breweries. I have to be pretty desperate for beer if I drink bud, miller, or coors.

Crawford Bock ainít bad. These guys are a spin-off of St. Arnoldís now owned by AB. Minute Maid used to be dominated by St. Arnoldís but this year there is just as much KB in the park. Still nothing better than St.A Santo black kolsch.
