Default New Year's Day Buck from Webb County

If you've been following my Live Hunt thread from the ranch the last few weekends, you know I shot a mature buck on New Year's morning. Here's a video I put together of that hunt. Your feedback (here an YouTube) is encouraged!

Well done Michael. Don't know if it is me/my computer, but the audio was a little low. For sure could bump the gain a bit without hurting anything. NO music is a real plus!

The video taken in the blind after the shot where you could see your heartbeat in your neck tells the whole story of why we hunt. Great video as always.

Thanks Charlie. I decided to not use any music in some of my recent videos. I think sometimes music adds to it, but others seem forced with the free music available for YT.

No doubt! I didn't realize it when I was shooting the video, but I noticed it when editing!

It wasn't a pass through. The blades deployed but retracted when I pulled the arrow out. You can see the O ring below the ferrule and on the arrow shaft. (it likely slid up to that point when I pulled the arrow out, as well.)

I didn't get the blood trail I've come to expect from Jak Hammers, but I also didn't make the shot I typically make with them either. I definitely won't blame the BH.

Yes sir, when I was able to watch it on the desk top I could see the band down low. On my phone it appeared the band was still up top. It makes perfect sense that the blades retracted when you pulled it out.
Again, great vid. Really hoping next season I can get set up to produce a few of my own.

Nice job! Looks like that bent ferrule almost caused some headache. It appears the exit was pretty high (higher than entrance).

Hey Michael,
Agreed, music has its place... for me it fits for "fly-over" general scapes, but detracts from most hunting action... Sure is a world of difference in your old vs. newer videos in shots, framing, video quality in general... you've come a long way sir! I have some idea of just what effort it takes to do that and I commend you!
