Hunting Apache Springs Ranch tomorrow.

I would never have the money to hunt this place. My wife worked for the Carters for years. She has since moved on from Carters country and now has a different job. That being said, we have still remained good friends with the Carters.

After the horrible stuff that took place in August last year, it’s took us some time to get back in gear.

For Father’s Day my wife reached out to the Carters and asked about an axis hunt on one of their ranches. My wife told them her budget and they made it happen. We will be spending the weekend with the Carters and their grandson Travis will be guiding me. We are bringing our son also.

Aside from hopefully taking an axis buck.....the following things will be on our agenda:

- hunt axis
- hunt aoudad
- hunt hogs
- fish
- search for sheds
- ride ATV’s
- swim in the pool
- swim in river
- tour the ranch

I can’t tell you all how excited I am for this and how bad my family could really use the time to get away.

I will try to update with pics as much as possible, but not sure how the service will be. But I will try. Worst case scenario I will update on Sunday when I get home.

To say it was a successful hunt was an understatement. I have never seen so much wildlife in one day in my entire life. We missed the opportunity at 2 hard horned axis. Guide estimated them at 34”. I planned on hunting axis or Aoudad. I got an opportunity at a red sheep ram of a lifetime!! I can’t be happier with this monster!!! We are planning on scoring it later, but does it really matter?? This place is beautiful
