    Brown Recluse?

What did I just kill? Was crawling on the carpet in my sons room, he came and told me thankfully, is it what I think it is?

Can't tell by those pics for sure but I don't think its a recluse. Looks more like a small wolf spider by the pic.

spread him apart and see if it has a fiddle shape on its lower body.

It was pretty glossy, not fuzzy/matte finished like a wolf but I hope you’re right. I almost took a picture while it was still walking but felt like the right thing to do to step on it rather than walk away and find my phone.

The color is darker also than any recluse I have seen. Either way its a good spider now because it's dead!

Too dark and too fat for a recluse

Not a recluse. They are easy to identify.

Was it in a cold damp area? If not then definitely not a Brown Recluse.

                          I read Brown Recluse...……
                          curled-up, in the fetal position.....
And, I ain't coming out, till the fire dies down.....

Definitely looks like one. Just a bad picture Of it.

I lived in Missouri for 4 years and my condo was infested with them.
