    Camera Arm Build

    I've been working on a new camera arm the last several weeks and finally had a chance to post up some pictures of it assembled.

    My goal was to build one that would give me 2 axis of adjustments to fit almost any tree I could put my game tamer stand in.

    The base ratchets to the tree and allows for the directional adjustment here.

    Next was an ebay spirit level mounted to the two section pivot arms to give me a pretty level horizon.

    The quick adjustment handles also make great hooks to hold my pack and other gear, I finally found Grizzly Tools was the cheapest place to purchase these.

    Lastly was the 3/8 stud with base to mount the fluid head to, all in all I'm pretty happy the way it turned out for less than $35.00 in parts!

                Camera Arm List (don't laugh I'm pretty thrifty)!
                *24" 1/2"X1" Rectangular Tubing
                *3 2 3/8" flat pipe caps
                *12" 3/8 black pipe
                *5 3/8" bolts (various lengths)
                *1/4 bolt
                *1 8"X8" 16 gauge sheet metal
                *1 spirit level
                *1 Grizzly 3/8" Adjusting lever female
                *1 Grizzly 1/4" Adjusting lever female
                *1" wide Ratchet Strap
                Tools Needed
                -Drill Press
                -Tap/Die Set
                -Welder
                -Sheet Metal Break
                -JB Weld
                -Needle/Thread
                Lots of patience!!!!
