I've been working on a new camera arm the last several weeks and finally had a chance to post up some pictures of it assembled.
My goal was to build one that would give me 2 axis of adjustments to fit almost any tree I could put my game tamer stand in.
Before Leveling...
After Leveling...
The base ratchets to the tree and allows for the directional adjustment here.
Next was an ebay spirit level mounted to the two section pivot arms to give me a pretty level horizon.
The quick adjustment handles also make great hooks to hold my pack and other gear, I finally found Grizzly Tools was the cheapest place to purchase these.
Lastly was the 3/8 stud with base to mount the fluid head to, all in all I'm pretty happy the way it turned out for less than $35.00 in parts!
