October means a major seasonal change is upon us. Indian Summer, Halloween, First few cool fronts, Rain events, Archery season, Pre-rut activities within the whitetail community, birds winging south on their early migration, unreal fishing fresh and saltwater, maximum time afield bowhunting and prepping for rifle season.
This month's theme is basically all things October in the Outdoors! Anything goes and I know each and everyone of use appreciate October's nature and the Outdoor changes and activities we all enjoy when the weather is on the cool down and our fall foliage and predominate weather patterns start to embrace a winter season.
Get out there and bring us some OCTOBER SCENES! For those of us who chase shots with camera gear, October is probably the best month to capture the widest range of activity and scenes.....green vegetation, weather events, migrations, low pressure big game movements, many hours on stand and in remote camps doing what we love to do and then at the months close, the harvest celebration we coin Halloween.
Wildlife, outdoor activities, scenes of the October countryside (water and land), outdoor sporting events.....it's our month we all engage in more Outdoor activity.
Hard horned bachelors...this is the last month of the season before winter.
FART is in October this year..........I'm anticipating a rare FART entry
October brings some rare sunsets where fog and sun mix on slack wind days. The season change with cold at night and warm days, fog and sun mix well.
For the few of us who maximize saltwater action along the Gulf of Mexico in October, the massive migrations south bring action and numbers and size opportunities that defy normal reasoning, including a Pope & Young opportunity for those who prefer to hunt and not fish during October.
