Brewed a honey porter tonight. The plan is to ferment it and to put it up until the fall... if I can wait that long.

Had an IPA tasting last weekend.

Randall's had singles on sale, so i bought a bunch.

Winner on right. Loser on left.

The Dig Pub (Cedar Park) had Dogfish Head 120 min on tap this week. At 15%, it was surprisingly easy to drink.

The HEB by my office has a clearance cart they put out in the frozen food section in the morning and I'm always finding odd stuff. I'm a sucker for anything with skulls, especially Dia de Los Muertos type art. I'm also a big IPA fan

Then you'd like this. They also have a voodoo ranger IPA, but I prefer the 8 hop pale ale.

Really light and crisp. I will probably get a twelve of this for my macro-swill buds to introduce them to the finer things in life.

This one leaves a little much citrus on the upper pallet at the beginning but it smooths out after a couple of sips. Not to bad overall.

I need to find this. I tend to favor citra hopped ipa's and pale ales. I recently brewed a pale ale with nothing but citra hops, and lots of it.

I started drinking this a few years ago when I was introduced to it in Cambria, Ca. I was so glad when they finally started sending it to Texas. I pretty much always have some of it in the fridge.

This one is a mouth full. A little strong on the alcohol taste. It doesn't quite have the right hop profile or malt bodyto balance it out, but it's not terrible. I think it should be labled an imperial red taste wise, its 7.8%.

Not really, everyone has their own taste. I wasn't trying to say you were wrong, just that I kinda liked it. Sorry if it sounded that way. We can both be right on this one.

Last time I had some of that was when they did a launch party at Oak Street Drafthouse in Denton. I recall liking it. It was served in a 10 ounce tulip take home glass and was of course on draft.

I wonder if they've played with the recipe...

That's cool. I certainly didn't think it was bad. A red IPA may be one of my favorite beers. This one was stronger, but I've grown to expect it from Rabbit Hole. Their Rapture brown ale is much heavier than others, but is my all time favorite beer. It may be my favorite brewery as well.

When in Fort Worth, do yourself a favor:

Spend some time at HopFusion and order food from Pouring Glory...

This is an IPA that my local brewery made to compete in the NMIPA challenge. They had some other stuff going and were unable to get it entered. Small run of 2.5 kegs. Cost them .30 an ounce to make. I am enjoying it.

Entiendo IPA 8.2
