I started drinking this a few years ago when I was introduced to it in Cambria, Ca. I was so glad when they finally started sending it to Texas. I pretty much always have some of it in the fridge.

This one is a mouth full. A little strong on the alcohol taste. It doesn't quite have the right hop profile or malt bodyto balance it out, but it's not terrible. I think it should be labled an imperial red taste wise, its 7.8%.

Not really, everyone has their own taste. I wasn't trying to say you were wrong, just that I kinda liked it. Sorry if it sounded that way. We can both be right on this one.

Didn't think that at all buddy. I will try any beer /ale but I find my taste leans toward a lite blonde beer

Last time I had some of that was when they did a launch party at Oak Street Drafthouse in Denton. I recall liking it. It was served in a 10 ounce tulip take home glass and was of course on draft.

I wonder if they've played with the recipe...

Just saw that this beer recently won a medal at the US Open Beer Championship

That's cool. I certainly didn't think it was bad. A red IPA may be one of my favorite beers. This one was stronger, but I've grown to expect it from Rabbit Hole. Their Rapture brown ale is much heavier than others, but is my all time favorite beer. It may be my favorite brewery as well.
