Very nice! Takes some restraint to not force a shot when one like that comes in!

Thanks, he just never gave me a shot and was moving the whole time. I'm back in the blind this morning. Hopefully will get another chance.

"Lucky" Continues to evade us. Got one of our guys in my stand and at 7:05 I get a covert pic of the buck headed right by stand. He walked 10 yards in front of him where he could tell, yep that's him, then turned around and walked right back where he came from.

Bucks been at 3 members stands during hunting hours on weekends when they sat it out or had other things to do. He's slippery, but all stands full this weekend maybe he will slip.

Hopefully. He's 4.5. Broke his right G2 right before he rubbed out, Q Mo has made it personal. He's been whipping him.

He's been back at Stew's the entire 2 first 2 weeks while he was in Africa just gettin fat.

False alarm on this morning though, just pulled card and its a new 8 point

I really think the Bucks that show up when you are not there most likely wouldn't have been there if you were in the stand, They know when you're there most of the time .
They are smart buggers

This is true, you never know. But I shot a 5.5 year old buck opening day on the evening hunt at a feeder at 25 yards that he had been visiting ever 3 days. I was hunting in crocs, had taken my shirt off and was sitting in a sweaty wife beater in the pop up because it was 80 degrees, after having peed out the stand from the after affects of a couple cervezas....I was being really sneaky

You can't kill 'em from the couch!

Lol yeah some times they just walk out and don't have a care in the world , That's what's great about hunting you just never know what can happen LOL !
And how many stories have you heard the person never hunted before just went and sat by a tree or whatever and deer walks out and they shoot the biggest deer ever killed in that county LOL !

Vert true. At my lease the deer are more nervous than Tyrone Biggums about to give a "say no to drugs" presentation to a bunch of first-graders. One hour away at our farm the deer waltz around without a care in the care in the world. Case in point: the guy that cuts our pastures drove within 30 yards of one our target bucks yesterday- a solid, mature 10-point- while he was bedded. He laid there till the guy started the tractor then he casually sauntered off. If that buck at seen him at the lease he would've done some Matrix moves to get out of there.

Yep, all about the property you hunt and the deer herds tolerance. We have a pretty laid back herd in regards to bucks, but the does are straight ninjas. If we see 1 a season from the stand weíre lucky, so far we havenít seen one in stand yet but I had 3 on camera so far this morning at one stand.

Had this buck 20 yds from me the other evening. Went to check game camera and ran off some does on the opposite side of the place. He came out while I was checking the duck slough in between. Had the mule running, he has his nose on the ground and made lines back and forth across me. Looked right at me and put his nose right back down. I believe one of the doeís were hot, Iíll be in the stand this weekend!!!

Warmed up nicely here and gonna be hotter this sat an Sunday. Plus wind has switched out of the south now. I stink terrible when i sweat so not gonna try and push the envelope with my paranoid deer, and the rut hitting most likely next week wide open. Some times the hardest part is not going even though you want to. Crazy how good it felt this morning now Iím sweating *

I passed two bucks laying within 50 yards of each other, dead on the side of Highway 19 north of Huntsville on my way to the lease this afternoon.

Been in the stand since 4. Haven’t seen a thing. I gotta think with the moon nearly full and it being so bright at night mornings are gonna be better right now.

On a side the forecast for the first 2 weeks of rifle season looks outstanding.
