Two youngest and I are heading to Arizona in late December. We plan to harass rabbits and ducks until the 1st and then deer. We all have an archery Javi tag. I got these because I thought it would be a confidence booster for the young'uns (16 & 17).
Deer are over the counter. I'm not sure if I can swing 3 deer tags especially with the odds. We may tag our javelina and then draw straws for the deer tags. I'd like to shoot a cues deer but I won't turn down a decent mulie.
We are hunting 34a and 34b. Mostly 34a for the javelina. If a young'un gets the deer nod we may stay low for mule deer. If I get the first nod we'll go higher.
Any info on these two units? I know both are known for good cues.
Tactics (such as they are, I know) for finding javelina? I think the prickly pear is their primary food source.
