Look at the PCB for a company name. How many wires come off the board and run under the headliner? Is one a coaxial like an antenna?

It is in 2005 dodge truck. It is aftermarket. We haven’t hit it with the hammer yet, but we did pry the cover off. May have to suggest the foot massager idea!! We know we can contact the previous owner, but this so much more entertaining!!

Looks like an infrared remote sensor. I had something similar in my Tahoe that was syned up with the roof mounted DVD player. The Player could be sync with an FM station (89.1 or 92.1) or it could be played through wireless (infrared) headphones.

Do you have anything like that in your vehicle?
