    South Padre suggestions

End of june, my wife and kids and my mom are headed to South Padre.
Stating in a pretty cool condo that mom booked of vrbo.

I believe its next to schlitterbahn.

Any suggestions on family friendly stuff to do? Kids are 6, 4, 4, and 4

Last time I was there, I was in college, sooo

I do plan on taking the wife to Louie’s one night for a whammie, because ya gotta.

Other than that, I’m open to suggestions.

    Go.

pier 19 has great food and is the old wooden bridge so its an experience , check and see if a sea turtle release is happening and also go to the lighthouse on port isabel and the turtle rescue place if your kids would want to

You guys could do a drive through the Laguna atascosa wildlife refuge, do the beach thing, do a dolphin watch on a boat (I think if they still do them) I lived in that area for 4 years there's not a whole lot to really do down there

The kids LOVE....and I mean LOVE the beach, so that will occupy most of our time and they’ll be happy little beasties.

Mom brought up the dolphin boat. They also evidently drag a net and then discuss the contents with the kids...fish types, science stuff...which my kids will eat up.

        Surf fishing? Any good?

Dolphin watch is something fun to do. Also bay fishing boats with the same companies that have the dolphin watch if you wanted to get some boat fishing in.

Would definitely fish in the surf while you're down here. There's also the pier in port Isabel that's kid friendly. I grew up on the jetties, but it can be nerve wracking with young children.

There's a large walk way at the north end next to the convention center where you can see all kinds of wildlife including the resident alligators.

We will be there 2nd week in June. Father in law booked a beach front condo through vrbo also. We are doing schlitterban one day and probably alot of beach and pool time. Looking for relaxing times.

Sea Turtle rescue, there are a couple of go kart places as well. Places you must eat Dirty Al's and Black Beards.

Daddy's is the same food as DA's FYI. Call and see who has shorter wait.

Peir 99. The Lexington and the aquarium on North beach. That is the other side of town but worth the drive.
