There were a lot of people fishing the surf Saturday morning in Port Bolivar near 'Holiday Beach'

Water is sandy and starting to turn green closer to the shore

Sunday may be fishable, Monday doesn't look so good for the surf. It could change.

I keep hearing people say green. Does that mean the water is good colored for fishing or bad?

Dead shrimp in my experience will not result in many trout nor reds conpareds to croaker in my experience. But to eliminate the trash fish all together for the most part throw artificial. Me and a buddy hit it yesterday afternoon and he soaked croaker and I threw plastics. I didn't catch a thing while he caught 6 hard heads.

Switch the dead shrimp for a gulp shrimp or a doa shrimp under the popping cork. Pop it, reel it slow, pop it. It'll catch fish.

Water over here off the seawall looks pretty dingy at the beach but green waters not too far off shore.
