Been at my job for almost 4 years and took the revenue for my position from $400k a year to $1.3m in a little over 2 yrs. and after I was offered a promotion at every annual review. Sounds all well and good but it means more travel and time away from my family, I just respectfully said no thank you. Fast forward to today and one of our longest tenured and highest paid sales guy was let go for doing something remarkably regrettable. So I was just handed another $300k in business and was told to start transitioning to my new position. Being a glass half full guy, I am going to be thankful to have such a great paying job and work it like it's the only job available. Another blessing is that my wife took a new position and it allows her more time to be mom and me transition out of being Mr. Mom. But man I will miss the role and will be grateful for all of the time I have spent with the kiddos up to this point!
