I bow hunted for elk in Colorado 8 years before I took my first elk. I shot at my first on my 7th year, but totally screwed that up for a clean miss.

If you have never been, you don't know what you are missing. There is something about being in the mountains with a bow and a tent.

I have always wanted to shoot a grouse. The years that I saw them I didn't have a tag. The years I had a tag I didn't see them.

That trip reminded me of so many of my trips. Thanks for sharing.
