I didn't even hunt this year bud, just enjoyed the scenery and provided awful wake up calls. Including such favorites as the American alarm clock and Slayer at max volume at 6am.
It's a big responsibility but someone has to do it

Hey now! The blasting of SLAYERRRRRR at 6am was all me!! [emoji41][emoji41][emoji41]
I had a blast at STHRM 2017! Still digging some cactus out of my legs and I wish I would have taken yesterday off.
Once again it was great seeing the regular crew and meeting a couple new ones. The new place was a big hit with everybody, as far as I know, and the price was very comparable to the last place. The accommodations were a few steps up from what we are use too, it was nice having a bunch of room, couple bathrooms that worked well, a full-on kitchen and a comfortable place to relax. The rams themselves were healthy and in good numbers, as was all the game we saw throughout the weekend. Personally, I liked the hunting better as well, it was primarily safari style/spot n stalk. The animals have 1000 acres to roam and lots more native grub to eat, so they were spread out and didn't necessarily like us breathing down their backs with our bows. It was definitely a more challenging Ram hunt than the other place. Everybody hunted hard but not everybody got a ram. The Granger Rangers had a good showing in the kill column, we know a little something about spot n stalk and killing stuff.
We missed not having a river hangout and it was semi-guided, so we didn’t get to roam around the place at will. However, we had plenty of activities to take up our spare time that included, but was not limited too: long range archery shoot-outs(52-77 yrds), rifle and pistol shooting, drone flying, rabbit hunting, cooking, eating, drinking beer, drunken wrestling, sing-alongs(anything from Ronnie Milsap>Ganster rap>Slayer), drinking whiskey and an occasional ram-jam.
