This was the day he stripped his velvet.....We don't have any genetics in our ranch other then Texas. That being said, we don't want deer that look like him on our ranch and that is why we are hunting him. Yea he is going to score great but he is not what we are targeting. We want big frames with long tines. I would be lying if I wasn't curious what this deer's mass measurements are going to be.

Yes. The first and last one, my dad is going to let his buddies hunt. The funky big deer and the one with all the stickers my brother and I are going to try and hunt with our bows. I still don't think we have seen all of our bucks yet so it is kind of a sliding scale on what needs to go vs what will stay.

Happy Thanksgiving!

11/27/19 I finally caught up to the loan fallow deer we had on this place. We have tried to shoot or catch this thing out of a chopper for years and I’ve never seen it in person. He may not be much in the rack category but he was a trophy to me. He was 9 years old. He used to be pretty big but old age had him heading downhill. Shot him with a rage 2 blade and he made it 60 yards or so.
