    This is a nice set up. The only change would be to use a piece of hollow allthread for a motor support and run the solar wire up it into the barrel and then attach the solar panel on the side of the barrel. Keeps the panel dust free and no wires for coons to screw with.

      A few years ago I fixed the problems with using the threaded rods on these control boxes. This makes for an almost bullet proof feeder. All heavy steel construction and they truly are Built to Last.

        Several great builds here. Main thing is to build it super sturdy. Critters can be awfully destructive and nothing worse than finding your feeder destroyed when it is time to hunt.
