Starts when you get here !!

Registration opens at 8:30AM. Once you have your score card, you start. !!

Come early. It will take you 1 1/2 to 2 hours to complete the course, and beat the chance of showers mid day

Great shoot. Thanks for all the hard work, Mike and team.

Don't see this very often on a 3D range.

Sure wish 3D shoots in the south Houston area were not on Sunday. I won't skip church for that.

I know what you mean. Last year, for every Sunday 3D we set up and offered the shoot on Saturday also, for just that reason.

After 7 shoots, we averaged 3 shooters on Saturday, so we don't offer it this year.

HOWEVER ------- We purposefully keep the registration open to early afternoon, for the after church folks.

If you call me and I know you are coming, I will hold open registration, cause we like to start taking it down early afternoon.

If you want to shoot 3D, Saltgrass is very accomodating

                      Alligator scares away shooters

                      Funny Story !!
2 fellas met me at the gate. I am leaving to run an errand, it's Saturday, all the 3D targets are out, and I was going to lock the gate.
They had never been there before and wanted to shoot !!

                      NO PROBLEM.

I told them to go in, warm up on the practice range, and shoot the 3D course for fun ! Which they did. Loved it, had a GREAT time, and left.

a little later, I am shooting the course and we come up on the alligator.
Jsuggs was with me and he starts laughing out loud !! I said " What ?"

He told me the two hunters, never shot 3d guys came to this spot, found the stakes, started looking around for the target and saw the gator

They knocked each other down picking up their bows and running down the levee as fast as they could. When they got very far a way, they stopped, caught their breath, talked about the gator, and decided to knock an arrow and go back. As they carefully approached the gator, at full draw, they saw it was too shiny , and saw where the head attaches and realized they got busted by the target

I wish I had it on video.

Gator looked very real. But they didn't need to worry. I had killed it already. 12 ring baby.

It was a great shoot. Mike and crew did a outstanding job setting up the new course. Sorry to everyone that was there if our group was making to much noise. We were having a hard time keeping Dena and Dora quite.
